The screen star \u2013 who in real life has three children with cinematographer husband Daniel Moder \u2013 layered up with a white shirt over a cream top and teamed it with loose blue jeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her long brunette locks weren\u2019t glamorously styled at all to play Barbara Weston, a character in a family that overcomes certain differences when their alcoholic patriarch goes missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the intense scene Ewan held Julia\u2019s hand with great anticipation, as they walked down to a boat dock to identify a dead body by a Sheriff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumsy appearance: The Pretty Woman actress looked rather dowdy as she recorded the intense scene where they had to identify a dead body by a Sheriff<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon seeing the dead body, Julia then bursts into tears, looking to be comforted by Ewan\u2019s character Bill Fordham, as she continued to cry in his arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She may have been hysterically distraught throughout the scene but moments later in between takes, Julia was cracking up with laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actress appeared alongside Julianne Nicholson, who appeared to be pointing out something rather funny to the group<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not her usual look: She wore jeans and layered tops for the part of Barbara Weston<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Boardwalk Empire star also dressed in a dowdy fashion, donning a blue shire a brown flared trousers with her hair tied back into a ponytail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other stars in the 2013 flick include Benedict Cumberbatch as \u2018Little Charles Aiken and Meryl Streep and Violet Weston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IMBd page for the motion picture states that Ren\u00e9e Zellweger and Andrea Riseborough were considered for a role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riseborough was cast but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Juliette Lewis replaced her as Karen Weston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chlo\u00eb Moretz auditioned for the role of Jean Fordham, but lost to Abigail Breslin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All an act: The group appeared to find something quite funny as they worked with Julianna Nicholson<\/p>\n\n\n\n
