His mission? To give thousands of abandoned pups a second chance at life \u2014 and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the animal welfare group&nbsp;<em>Forever Paws<\/em>, Musk\u2019s donation will be used to upgrade shelter facilities, fund medical care, and most importantly, expand adoption programs across the U.S. It\u2019s the largest single gift the organization has received in its 25-year history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cI love dogs,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Musk wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).&nbsp;<strong>\u201cThey deserve a second chance. Everyone does \u2014 even those without a voice.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fans of Musk won\u2019t be surprised by this move. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has long been known for his fondness for animals \u2014 especially his Shiba Inu, Floki, who has made several appearances on social media (and once even \u201cposed\u201d as CEO for a day).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shelter directors across the country say the donation couldn\u2019t have come at a better time.&nbsp;<strong>\u201cThis is a game changer,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;said the director of Hope for Paws, a rescue group in California.&nbsp;<strong>\u201cWe\u2019ll be able to save more dogs, provide better care, and most importantly, match them with loving homes.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Social media has lit up with gratitude, with pet lovers sharing photos of their own rescues using the hashtag&nbsp;<strong>#MuskLovesDogs<\/strong>.
